[ can't get enough ]

I just can't get enough of fall and my babies...

Fall.

Last year was Breck's first time to Robinette's Apple Orchard, and this year was Laidey's (and Mom's first!) first trip. It was our first "fall-ish" outing since she was born and it was when Mamaw was still here taking care of us while we were all sick, so she learned of the fall splendor of Robinette's warm cinnamon sugar donuts paired with fresh apple cider!

I <3 this picture.

He almost always has a car in his hand! As he would say "Caaaaar!"

The boy is a natural with a soccer ball!

I wish these colors lasted longer...

Gorgeous Mums that my love gave to me to start my fall porch display! :)

Our ever disappointing trip to The Pumpkin Lady. She had NO pumpkins, just squash. But we'll take what we can get and go to Aldi's and get pumpkins for $1.99! She didn't have her wagon FULL of pumpkins like she did last year. Matter of fact, she didn't even have a wagon. I was planning to get the kids pictures on it like we did last year and make it a tradition, so the ridiculous Normal Rockwell that lives inside my heart had me pretty disappointed on the way home. It was a perfect fall day for the drive though that wasted half of our day since pumpkin lady lives 45 minutes one way - away from us. Can you sense my bitterness? :) Just kidding. It was a beautiful fall day and we still came home with plenty of orange to scatter around the house!

These times are so fun, when he can interact and "help" and be a part of things. I had him "helping" me dust and load the washer the other day! He thought that was big stuff! He LOVES to help me make the bed and throw the pillows up onto the bed as hard as he can, so that I can decorate the bed with them.

Breck helping Momma make pumpkin bread!

My Babies.

(If I ever look back on this post when I'm eighty years old and wonder why she was dressed looking like it was summer, in the midst of all these fall savories... it's because we had an unusually warm start to fall and had a very warm week in October. It felt so weird!)
Laidey 3 1/2 weeks old...

5 weeks old...

Sister loves Hippity too!

Can I just say that I love nursing my babies. No matter how much I have to get done or what is on my to-do list... knowing that we have a guaranteed snuggle time every three hours and that no one else can meet her needs, but me... is priceless. This only happens once and it's so short term compared to life itself... it's for sure a moment to be treasured!

I want to always remember how soft her skin is, especially those little palms...

He is always making us laugh lately!
This cracks me up... he always stands inside the frig when I have it open to get something out.

He's absolutely, officially, totally, completely,  head-over-soles,  into CARS.
Really, anything with wheels, but especially cars.

He is crouching in this picture and saying "Cheeeese!"

He is also very into coffee! Or maybe it's just the novelty of drinking from a mug. He'll drink it as soon as it's made. The heat doesn't bother him. He prefers the real stuff, but sometimes I just give him warm milk, with a little drip of coffee creamer in it, and he's just as tickled with that as if it were a caffeinated cup of joe. And, he knows how to handle a mug. We've never taught him, just observation, baby!

Notice the progression from left to right. :)

Breck Reid, Mama made this hat for you with love. I adore it on your precious head, but you're just not very into wearing it yet. I think you will wear it more once it's cold out. You'll wear it if I sneak it on while you're playing and when you don't notice. Or I can get you to wear it for pictures if I bribe you with your own cup of (decaf) coffee. Which is what I did for these pictures :)

Eat your heart out. That's what these pictures will make you do. At least it does me. She is just so stinking precious. She melts my heart... smiles nearly every time I talk to her. Her smiles are so engaging that she's beginning to squeak and coo while she is smiling. So. So. So. SO PRECIOUS! (I have been noticing how much she smiles when she hears Breck's voice or sees him too! She heard him playing, talking, and laughing quite a bit while she was inside of me, I'm sure!)

Adelaide Pearl 6 weeks...

Can it get any cuter than ruffles on a baby bum!?! I think not.

Ps. We got a van!!!! It's not new, but it sure is new to us! 2000 Chrysler Town and Country Mini-Van! We loooooove it and it makes life SO much easier! Just last night I nursed her and changed her diaper in the back seat of the van before we did our grocery shopping!

Pss. This was a picture I meant to add a while back, but wanted to include it... taken from my phone, this was our first venture out of our front door with them by myself. It was just a walk around the complex, but we needed some fall fresh air, and it was a "first" so I wanted to remember it!

Psss. I LOVE the fact that she looks like me and I have my own mini-me! Breck resembles me sometimes, but he honestly looks like his daddy's clone. I love it that I have one of my own now! She is a dolly! She was necked here, and I was about to give her a bath, when I walked in the bathroom and looked in the mirror, I immediately saw how much we looked alike!
