I'm writing in the very spot where the pictures in this post were taken. I've got this whole place to myself and I'm quite happy. Little boy napping and thankful for a monitor that still has reception at the pool! Have I ever mentioned I love where we live? Because I do. Sigh. How much better can it get with a pool twenty feet from your front door? Maybe it would be better if it were on our own property and not considered "common ground" with all of the old grumpy, persnickety folks we share it with, but hey... I'll choose my glass half full and pretend it's our own little summer hideaway that we get to benefit from... and all to ourselves from time to time. It's all to myself right now and I'll take it! (Welp, nevermind. Enter: Fellow sun bather.)
Last summer Breck was six months old when we were in our peak pool season. Barely could support himself in the pool float, and was more interested in the leaves on the trees fluttering in the wind than the his little ocean of a pool he had to splash in. Not this summer! Sweet boy was VERY into the water on the day of his first dip! His favorite is floating all alone in his pool float and Daddy's favorite is counting One. Twoo. Threee. Blowing in this mouth and dunking him under water. Breck actually does so well with it! He just swipes away the water from his little eyes as Daddy emerges him from the water and he's over it that quick. We're trying to decide between swim lessons or gymnastics lessons for him. As much as he loves the water... I'm thinking swim lessons for sure, if not both! We'll see! Here come some pictures from Breck's first little adventure into the pool this season. Momma certainly couldn't get enough of his swim getup - I mean how can you resist teal, and orange, and lobsters all over a little sixteen month old. I can't.
Something else I can't resist? Daddy. And especially Daddy sporting some aviators. HOT!

LOVE wet baby eyelashes. Mmm.
He was throwing the ball, and of course accompanying it with his famous "GO-GO!"
He naturally leaned back and patted his belly when we sat him in the chair. Boy knows how to relax.
Oh, boy - Breck... Your Daddy and I just can't get enough of your sweet cuddly spirit lately. And we're soaking in every hug, kiss, cuddle, and laugh because we know before we know it, you'll be grown and these little years will be gone. The memories there forever though.
(Daddy & Breck watching Barney)
You are precious, child. Precious.
Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart."
Amazing to think God is forming your little sister in Mommy's tummy right now. He's setting her apart!
Ps. Just for the record... Breck looooves his Nana Anna!
Pss. Since I started this post Breck woke up, I left the pool, we made a quick run to Sams Club and now Breck is cuddled right into the crook of my arm watching Praise Baby (we're giving Barney a little rest!) waving at every child that comes on the screen. I'm typing with one hand and I need to get up to start dinner, but the thought of stopping this cuddle moment makes dinner so unappetizing!
Psss. This post should technically be dated June 2, 2011, because I am just now getting around to hitting the "Publish Post" button. It's been a busy twenty four hours!
